En raison de ses <strong>qualit\u00e9s d'oxydation s\u00e9lective<\/strong>, son application est une alternative \u00e0 consid\u00e9rer lorsque, en plus de la d\u00e9sinfection, la qualit\u00e9 organoleptique de l'eau doit \u00eatre am\u00e9lior\u00e9e.<\/p><p>En outre, il est capable d'\u00e9liminer <strong>le fer et le mangan\u00e8se ainsi<\/strong> que d'autres compos\u00e9s qui donnent de la couleur et de la saveur(1).<em><\/em> <\/p><p>Des \u00e9tudes montrent <strong>qu'en tant<\/strong> que d\u00e9sinfectant, il est plus efficace que le <strong>chlore<\/strong> en toutes circonstances <strong>contre les agents pathog\u00e8nes<\/strong> v\u00e9hicul\u00e9s par l'eau tels que les virus, les bact\u00e9ries et les protozoaires (2).<em><\/em><\/p><p>En revanche, contrairement \u00e0 d'autres produits, le dioxyde de chlore est efficace sur une <strong>tr\u00e8s<\/strong> <strong>large<\/strong> gamme de <strong>pH<\/strong> (4-10)<em>(3)(5).<\/em> Son pouvoir d'oxydation est sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 celui du chlore, de la chloramine et de l'iode, et il est bien meilleur que l'ozone dans les eaux d\u00e9j\u00e0 pollu\u00e9es gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son efficacit\u00e9 \u00e0 faible concentration. De plus, sa <strong>grande solubilit\u00e9<\/strong> dans l'eau lui permet d'agir pendant un certain temps, ce qui est un grand avantage par rapport \u00e0 l'ozone, qui s'\u00e9vapore instantan\u00e9ment et n\u00e9cessite une application constante dans le temps (4).<em><\/em><\/p><p>L'un des principaux avantages de l'utilisation du dioxyde de chlore est qu'il <strong>r\u00e9duit la formation de sous-produits<\/strong> organiques nocifs pour l'homme et l'environnement, tels que les trihalom\u00e9thanes (THM) et les chloramines (4).<em><\/em><\/p><p>Le dioxyde de chlore en quantit\u00e9s suffisantes est capable <strong>d'oxyder les compos\u00e9s ph\u00e9noliques.<\/strong> <em>(7) : La contamination par le BPA (bisph\u00e9nol-A) provenant des plastiques cause des dommages \u00e0 l'organisme. Le seul groupe fonctionnel du BPA est constitu\u00e9 de deux alcools qui, s'ils sont oxyd\u00e9s, pourraient rendre le BPA non toxique. Le m\u00e9canisme d'action du BPA n'a pas encore \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9lucid\u00e9 et son effet ne peut donc pas \u00eatre attribu\u00e9 \u00e0 des groupes fonctionnels.<\/em><\/p><p>En outre, le ClO2 ne r\u00e9agit pas avec l'ammoniac ou les amines primaires et secondaires, ce qui \u00e9vite d'augmenter la demande de chlore dans les syst\u00e8mes de distribution. <em>(6)<\/em><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-e304891\" data-id=\"e304891\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-dd6ac48 elementor-widget elementor-widget-wd_text_block\" data-id=\"dd6ac48\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"wd_text_block.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"wd-text-block reset-last-child text-left\">\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<ul><li><strong>Volatilit\u00e9 :<\/strong> tr\u00e8s volatile \u00e0 l'\u00e9tat gazeux. <\/li><li><strong>Solubilit\u00e9<\/strong> : l'une de ses principales caract\u00e9ristiques est sa grande solubilit\u00e9 en milieu aqueux, ce qui constitue un grand avantage par rapport \u00e0 d'autres substances telles que l'ozone.<\/li><li><strong>Liqu\u00e9faction :<\/strong> devient liquide \u00e0 basse temp\u00e9rature, mais peut revenir \u00e0 l'\u00e9tat gazeux \u00e0 11\u00b0C.<\/li><li><strong>Densit\u00e9<\/strong> : la densit\u00e9 est plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e que celle de l'eau et de l'air.<\/li><li><strong>Origine synth\u00e9tique<\/strong> : ne se trouve pas dans la nature. Lorsqu'il est m\u00e9lang\u00e9 \u00e0 des solutions aqueuses, il peut \u00eatre dissip\u00e9 par des processus d'a\u00e9ration, car il ne s'hydrolyse pas. <\/li><li><strong>Couleur<\/strong> : vert jaun\u00e2tre. <\/li><li><strong>Dissout<\/strong> facilement les \u00e9mulsions et les hydrocarbures, ce qui lui permet de traverser les couches bact\u00e9riennes.<\/li><li><strong>Biofilm<\/strong> : le ClO2 oxyde la matrice de polysaccharides qui lie le biofilm. Le dioxyde de chlore est transform\u00e9 en ions chlorure, qui \u00e0 leur tour se divisent en parties du biofilm qui restent stables. Lorsque le biofilm recommence \u00e0 se d\u00e9velopper, un environnement acide est cr\u00e9\u00e9, ce qui permet une nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de dioxyde de chlore et l'\u00e9limination compl\u00e8te du biofilm
